The legendary 19th century Pera Palace Hotel is recognised as the first international hotel in Turkey, having played host to numerous iconic figures since it first opened its doors in 1892 : including Atatürk, Agatha Christie, Ernest Hemingway, Mata Hari, Greta Garbo, Pierre Loti, Franz Joseph, Edward Duke of Windsor and many more.
Following the current renovation of the hotel, the glamour of the past will merge with the technology of the 21st century. Pera Palace Hotel will once again be the place to see and be seen.
Due to re-open in June 2010, the hotel will offer 115 nostalgic guest rooms including 23 suites, the famous Patisserie de Pera, the Orient Bar, the Terrace 1892 Restaurant, Agatha Restaurant, a 300 sqm Spa, the Kubbeli Saloon tea lounge as well as a 300 sq.m spa complete with Turkish Hammam, pools, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms and fitness centre.
The hotel is ideally located in lively Beyoglu, the historic, cultural and social city centre, only 20 km from Atatürk International Airport and 5 km to the Old Town. The unique location of the hotel will enable guests to enjoy extravagant views of the city as well as sunsets over the Golden Horn.
